April 18 Meeting: Go Away, Find Your SELF – Personal Transformation Through Travel with Jennifer Buchholz

Join #1 bestselling author Jennifer Buchholz as she shares how travel can be used for a journey of self-discovery. It’s time to rediscover yourself!

Jennifer Buchholz is the owner of Transform via Travel, where she coaches women to go on journeys of self-discovery using solo travel as a means to get out of their comfort zone. This business evolved organically as a combination of her professional and academic background as well as her personal travels and growth.

Jennifer holds a BA in Communication and an MA in Human Resource Development. Professionally, she’s worked in financial services and leadership training and development for the majority of her career. She also has been an adjunct faculty member for over 15 years at various universities teaching leadership courses as well as a variety of other topics.

While she’s been a solo traveler for years, she took her first solo trip abroad at age 40 to New Zealand and spent time intentionally working through some things she’d been dealing with after an especially rough year.

Now, her career involves being an entrepreneur, coach, networker and innovator. She will be launching a grand new initiative for solo travelers in 2016 and will continue to encourage women to Go Solo!

March 29: Evening Social at Member Business Leap of Faith

Plan to join us for our next Social Event at the Leap of Faith at W64N707 Washington Ave., right across from the Cedar Creek Settlement.  After enjoying the fun shopping party at this member business, we will adjourn to the Chiselled Grape Winery next door at W64N713 Washington Ave.  for a wine tasting.

Leap of Faith:  “Meaningful” describes the many items that abound. Pleasant music invites you to relax while making that unique purchase for yourself or someone special. Select from carefully chosen artistic creations, jewelry, thoughtful gifts, books, CD’s and photography including Cedarburg photos and photo cards.

Leap of Faith, began about 20 years ago at the Cedar Creek Settlement in Cedarburg as an art studio by Patricia Lietzke, a Focus member. Within a few years the studio evolved into a gift shop with the focus on meaningful gifts for all occasions, and her daughter Amy O’Shea joined her.

Patricia “retired” about 4 years ago and Amy moved to a larger location across the street from the Settlement on the Northwest corner of Bridge and Washington, and Patricia and Amy now work together, maintaining the same focus and able to increase their offerings.

We look forward to having you join us in the shop for a private “After Hours” social event on Thursday March 29, followed by a wine tasting next door at Chiselled Grape Wine Shop.
